Heart of Dorset holiday cottages offer self catering accommodation throughout Dorset in traditional thatched cottages, converted barns, larger houses and bungalows. All are inspected annually under the Visit Britain Quality Assurance Scheme and all provide facilities of a high standard.

Our cottages are open throughout the year. Short breaks are very good value in the off season. Dorset is just over 2 hours by car or train from London, but you are then deep in the countryside. Regional airports are at Southampton, Bristol, Exeter and Bournemouth. We are not an agency, so there are no agency fees. Heart of Dorset cottages are personally managed. Dorset's Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site, internationally known for its unique geology and extensive fossil remains. The Heritage Coast path provides excellent walking with superb views of the dramatic coast line, including Lulworth Cove, Swanage, Weymouth and Portland Bill. Dorset's small market towns and traditional villages provide easy parking and many individual shops. The countryside is still very rural and the Dorset village pubs are delightful and serve excellent food.
