This beach is part of a seven mile stretch of sand from Burnham-on-Sea to Brean Down. The abundance of sand dunes provides shelter and a convenient sun trap for visitors intent on having a relaxing time in the sun. A considerable tidal range, leaving mud flats at low tide. The esplanade runs along the length of the beach, facing the hotels and private houses.
