The beach is an idyllic spot and is safe for swimming with care. It is quieter than other beaches in Torquay and is an ideal getaway for those looking for a pleasant uncrowded setting in which to relax. A steep climb means that access can be difficult for prams and disabled visitors.

Facilities include a beach café, sun bed and deckchair hire and toilets.
