Slapton Sands Beach, Torcross, Devon

A long shingle beach ideal for taking a romantic walk. There is a tea shop and pub at the village of Torcross to warm you up!

Slapton Sands is also well known as the beach where many lives were lost during rehearsals for the D-Day landings in 1944.

Torcross is on the A379, Dartmouth to Kingsbridge Road.
