The Great House of Cornwall - Upstairs-Downstairs brought to life. Set in 450 acres of woods, parkland and gardens of rare shrubs and trees. Built in 1651 and largely rebuilt after a fire in 1881, this Victorian House has 50 rooms open to view including kitchens, Nursery Wing and the original Long Gallery.
The Trust continues to build on the Victorian theme established by the family – magnolias and rhododendrons being particular features of the garden. Camellias bring early spring colour, while the herbaceous borders and formal parterres are ablaze in mid-summer.
