This is one of the best stretches of golden sand in Cornwall and ideal for romantic walks. The beach is used for horse riding and kite surfing, as there is a large expanse of sand at low tide. There is a nice café/restaurant located in one of the small car parks near the beach.
Beach facilities include toilets, cafes, surfboard hire, lifeguard cover and first aid. There is also a free car park 10 minutes walk away if you prefer not to pay for the one at the beach.
Main road A30 down to east end of Hayle. Access via coastal road to Portreath via the B3301
