Our collection embraces two and three-dimensional work in all mediums and styles ranging from Picasso to Shepherd. Spanning 1500 years, it contains work by 600 artists from over 60 countries. So whether you prefer exotic oriental treasures or watercolour landscapes, the Flemish masters or contemporary glass, modern abstract interpretations or bronze sculpture – there will be something here for you. You are likely to make some discoveries too!
Artists from across the world work at the museum during all opening hours between February and November. You can watch as they demonstrate their skills and talk to them about their work – which could be painting, sculpting, woodcarving, glass-working, textile-art or many other art forms. There is at least one different artist each week. In the sculpture garden, you can relax whilst exploring dramatic art forms set amongst tranquil nature.
