This special award offers you the added 'feel good' of knowing your visit is caring for the area you enjoy. It recognises businesses making a special effort to care for your destination and the wider environment.
Award-winners have made achievements across a wide range of areas from careful management of water, energy and waste to support for the local community and businesses.
All Award winners are good examples of responsible businesses and have been judged to meet a high level of implementation. However, to provide you with extra guidance as to the level of achievement the Award can be a Bronze, Silver or Gold. This gives extra recognition to those that have excelled - the higher the level of award, the more actions implemented by the business.
Every business on our site that has achieved one of these awards is denoted with the leaf symbol- so be sure to ‘look for the leaf’.
