Romantic Places to Visit

Over 1km in length and world famous for surfing.

The beach boasts rock pools at its northern and southern ends at low water. There are substantial sand dunes along its eastern boundary, which adjoins a golf course.

The small sheltered cove has a gently sloping sandy beach. There are plenty of good walks along the South West Coast Path and a walk up to St Catherine’s Castle provides excellent views across the estuary.

Trevone Bay is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the sea washing up over the golden sands. A short distance from Padstow.

A small east facing sand and pebble cove.

The small cove is within easy reach of Falmouth and is reasonable safe for swimming. It’s close to the Swanpool nature reserve and there is a coastal path leading to Gyllingvase beach.

A sandy cove in a peaceful harbour.

The small sandy cove in the village of Polkerris is very popular during the summer. A curved breakwater protects the water and there’s a pub more or less on the beach for those in need of a bit of refreshment.
