Attractive, gently sloping, sandy beach backed by dunes and the village green.

Praa Sands stretches over one and a half miles. During the spring and summer basking sharks, seals and dolphins may be seen off the beach.

The small sandy cove in the village of Polkerris is very popular during the summer. A curved breakwater protects the water and there’s a pub more or less on the beach for those in need of a bit of refreshment.

This is a quiet beach with fairly safe swimming and a ban on motorised craft to maintain to the peace and quiet.

The clean golden sands make this the perfect location. The South West Coast Path along the top of the cliffs towards Chapel Porth makes a wonderful scenic walk.

The west beach is popular and has plenty of sand and rock pools to explore. There are also some good walks along the South West Coast Path. The entire coastline is surrounded by beautiful cliff walks.
