Brean sands lies below the National Trust headland of Brean Down and forms the northern most part of a seven-mile stretch of sands.

The beach at Branscombe is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the coastal scenery. The Southwest coastal path offers fantasitc views from a high cliff top walk to Beer.

The clean golden sands make this the perfect location. The South West Coast Path along the top of the cliffs towards Chapel Porth makes a wonderful scenic walk.

The small sheltered cove has a gently sloping sandy beach. There are plenty of good walks along the South West Coast Path and a walk up to St Catherine’s Castle provides excellent views across the estuary.

The small sandy cove in the village of Polkerris is very popular during the summer. A curved breakwater protects the water and there’s a pub more or less on the beach for those in need of a bit of refreshment.
